Darryl Minton Obituary

Darryl Reid "Monk" Minton RICHBURG - Mr. Darryl Reid "Monk" Minton passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016, of ALS. He graduated from Rock Hill High School in 1973. He worked for Rock Hill Telephone Company from 1973 until 2001. He worked for Verizon until he couldn't due to illness in 2014. Monk was a great husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend and co-worker. He was loved by all. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was an angel on earth. Monk is survived by his wife, Terrie Minton; his parents, Phyllis and Ernest Minton; his sisters, Karen Faile and Donna Bishop; his brother, Mark Minton; five children and four grandchildren. A gathering for family and friends will be held at the home in Richburg on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the ALS foundation.
