January 30, 1961 - January 14, 2021
Clover, South Carolina - David Floyd, 59, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family and friends on Thursday, January 14, 2021 after a short battle with cancer.
David was pre-deceased by his Father, David L Floyd, Sr., and Mother, Margaret J Robinson.
David is survived by his wife, Sharon Thomas Floyd, daughter Mariah McCarter (Zack), son Andrew Floyd (Erin), and grandson Sloan Thomas McCarter. Sisters, Margaret Ann Atkinson, Lynda Elkins, Edna Lindemann, Mary Elkins (Tommy), Brenda Davis (Philip), Sisters-In-Law Laura Milem (Ken), Julie Thomas, and Brother-In-Law Scott Thomas (Eun Nan). Also 13 nieces and nephews, 9 great nieces and nephews, one great great niece, many aunts and uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends that was very dear to him.
David was a Project Manager at AME, Inc., and leaves many dear friends and colleagues there. Having been there for over 30 years most were like family to him.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 23rd from 3:00-6:00pm at the home of Mariah & Zack McCarter, 219 East Liberty St, York, SC. Please note: Masks are required. A private family funeral will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or to Hospice and Community Care, Rock Hill, SC.
