David John Hitz ROCK HILL - David John Hitz, born October 30, 1990, passed away January 5, 2015. Preceded in death by his father, Mark Allen Hitz, David was the third son and fourth child of Mark and Marjorie Kazmer Hitz. David is survived by his sisters, Carrie Louise Hitz Swoape (Luke) and Charlotte Mary Hitz and his brothers, Thomas Jeffrey Hitz and Benjamin Louis Hitz. David was a tremendous lover of animals. He was on his high school's wrestling and swimming teams, returning to Rock Hill High as an assistant to the wrestling coach and was an avid bowler who bowled a sanctioned perfect game. David graduated from Rock Hill High School with honors and was pursuing a degree in nursing science at the University of South Carolina at Lancaster. Donations in lieu of flowers may go to Rock Hill Wrestling at 320 W. Springdale Rd., Rock Hill, SC 29730. Memorial services to celebrate David's life will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2015, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732 and at the home, 355 Grier Lesslie Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730, immediately following the memorial service. Marjorie and family,

Our deepest sympathies. I didn't know David well but spoke to him on occasion in the RHHS wrestling room throughout the years as he helped with the youth program and this year with the JV's. He was a kind and courteous young man. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.
