Sharon, South Carolina - Mr. Dwayne Thomas Jonas, 48, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Piedmont Medical Center.
Mr. Jonas was born in York, SC, and was the son of Charles F. Jonas and Linda Boatwright Jonas of Rock Hill. Mr. Jonas worked for Rock Hill Electric Service, a family-owned business for over 30 years. He enjoyed working on his 1969 orange Camaro, drag racing, fishing, R/C car racing, camping, traveling to the beach and especially the mountains with his family. Mr. Jonas was preceded in death by his son, Cooper Jonas and his brother, Wesley Jonas.
He was definitely a family man. He loved his wife and his children dearly. You couldn't ask for anyone better.
Services for Mr. Jonas will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill with Dr. Jim Parrish officiating. Burial will follow at in Grandview Memorial Park - Cherry Road. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:30 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Jonas is survived by his wife of 18 years, Jennifer James Jonas; his son, Colton Jonas; his daughter, Addison Jonas; his sister, Tosh Black (Ron) of Rock Hill, SC; and his brother, Shawn Jonas (Sarah) of Rock Hill, SC.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to The Jonas Children Education Fund, c/o Jennifer Jonas, PO Box 321, Sharon, SC 29742.
