May 7, 1943 - April 11, 2025
Rock Hill, South Carolina - Mrs. Ella Jane Bratton Messer, 81, passed away Friday, April 11, 2025. Born in Rock Hill, SC on May 7, 1943. Ella was the daughter of the late Eugene F. Bratton and the late Carrie Louvenia Honeycutt Bratton.
Ella graduated from Rock Hill HS, Florida Southern College and Winthrop University. She was a teacher in the Gaston County School District. She was a long-time member of the Rock Hill Civitan Club and was a charter member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
Ella is survived by extended family and friends.
Services for Ella will be held April 22, 2025, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church (2115 Celanese Rd., Rock Hill SC 29732). Visitation at noon, service at 1:00pm with burial to follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ella's name to Aldersgate UMC or Rock Hill Civitan Club c/o David Simpson, 1340 East Decatur Drive, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
