CHARLOTTE - Mrs. Emma Belle Ayers Hinson, 85, of 7116 Thorncliff Drive, passed away Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, at her home.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Forest Hills Cemetery, with the Rev. Barry Yates officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the service.
Born in Rock Hill, Mrs. Hinson was the daughter of the late George and Ida Waters Ayers. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Hinson is survived by her husband, Carl J. Hinson of the home; three daughters, Denise Gray and husband, Clarke, of Saluda, Va., Charlotte Hinson and husband, Mike Boss, of Richmond, Va., and Kathy Morrison of Rock Hill; her sister, Barbara Micham of Rock Hill; four grandchildren, Ray and Carl Morrison, Elisabeth Jordan and husband, Ray and James Gray; and her great-grandson, Ethan Marshall Jordan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to The American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
