Rock Hill, South Carolina - Florence Anna Vetro, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at the age of 89 in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Born on July 14, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan, to parents Leroy and Mary Belle Herbon, and brother, Jack Herbon. Flo lived a life characterized by her profound kindness, deep faith, and unwavering love for her family.

In October 1955, Flo and Dominic, the love of her life, were married and soon moved to Binghamton, New York where they lovingly raised their 3 children and exemplified true love in their daily devotion to one another. Flo relocated to Rock Hill SC in 1999. She loved her home at Magnolia Place, and recently Brookdale Assisted Living.

Flo was a devoted follower of Jesus and active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill, South Carolina, where she became a cherished elder and maternal figure among her congregation. Her admirable character and strong Christian values were evident in all she did, inspiring those around her to live with the same generosity and warmth she so effortlessly shared. Flo traveled to all 50 US States, and internationally as well.

Flo was adored by her children John Vetro (Marianne Picca), James Vetro (Carol Vetro), and Joan Sullivan (Colin Sullivan), and "bonus son-in-law" Jerry Picca; her grandchildren Anne Allen, Sarah Blechacz, Laura Beine, Amy Harris, Leah Stehula, Brianne, Brett, Sean, Baby Colin, Kathleen Sullivan, "bonus grandsons" AJ and Mark Picca, and adoptive grandsons, Jack Coving Dylan Thomas; her great - grandchildren Joshua and Zoe Allen, Natalia and Dominic Blechacz, Gabriel, Maria, Elijah, Aaron, Jacob, Luke, John Paul, and Caleb Beine, Karalena and Henry Harris.

Flo will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the profound impact she had on those she loved. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory continue to be a blessing to all.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill South Carolina. A celebration of Flo's life will follow at Covenant Church at 1830 Celanese Rd, Rock Hill, SC at 1:00 pm. She will be laid to rest beside her husband Dominic and son, John Vetro in Binghamton, New York.

Flo's family would like to express their deep gratitude to Patrica White, who was her caregiver and dear friend.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Family Promise of York County, an organization to which Flo volunteered countless hours.
