Rock Hill, South Carolina - Mr. Jean David Greig, 45, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 pm till 6:00 pm on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. All other services will be private.
Born in Du Page, IL, Mr. Greig was the son of Bernard Allan Greig and Rose Ann Wilhelm Greig. He was preceded in death by his sister, Julia Greig. He was employed by The Compass Group with 3 years of service. He graduated from Loyola University of Chicago, completing his master's degree from Florida Institute of Technology where he was in the International Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa.
Mr. Greig is survived in addition to his parents by his son, Jonathan Michael Greig of Matthews, NC; his daughter, Abigail Margaret Greig of Matthews, NC; his partner, Brooks Stover Trakas of Rock Hill; his brother, John (Ellen) Greig of Matthews, NC; his sister, Joy (Jim) Backman of Naperville, IL and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Jean David Greig's name thru an online education fund for Abby and Jack; for further information to contribute, contact Ellen Greig or Brooks Trakas.

Jean will so missed.He was such a good neighbor always willing to help with my electronic frustrations,my plants, and anything else he could do.Jean told me many times "That's what good neighbors do".I pray for comfort for his family and friends.The world was a better place with this unique,talented man in it.
