Seneca, South - Jean Fulcher Laughinghouse, 84, wife of the late Gerald "Jerry" Laughinghouse, of Seneca, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Belvedere Commons.
Born in Durham, NC, Mrs. Laughinghouse was the daughter of the late Perry Elmo Fulcher and Althea Aileen Parker Fulcher. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed arranging flowers, decorating, or anything that piqued her creativity, and being active within her church. Mrs. Laughinghouse retired as a secretary with the Rock Hill School District, and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Mrs. Laughinghouse is survived by her son: Jeffrey "Jeff" Bryan Laughinghouse (Nancy Middleton) of Durham, NC; daughter: Donna Murphy (Rick) of Seneca; sisters: Della Mae Brock (Doug) of Owasso, OK, and Sue Carol Holt of New Bern, NC; and grandchildren: Jack Murphy, Owen Laughinghouse, and Norah Laughinghouse.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2024, at New Hope Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at Davenport Funeral Home.
Flowers are accepted.
The family will be at their respective homes.

I am so sorry for your loss ! Jean was one of the sweetest people that I have been privileged to know ! She was a wonderful teacher at Edgewood School where she took great care of my daughter, Dawn Garvey ! Dawn loved " house " so much ! What a joy knowing Jean ! God Bless her family and her always ! Kelly Garvey !
