Jerry Lucas Obituary
ROCK HILL - Mr. Jerry Eugene Lucas, 58, passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at Piedmont Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, with the Rev. Jerry Devinney officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park on South Cherry Road.
Mr. Lucas was born in Rock Hill, the son of the late Frank and Dorothy Lucas. He worked as a hydraulic mechanic at Terex Utilities and was a member of Loyal Order of Moose for 20 plus years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Jesse Lucas and sister, Mary Ann Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Lucas of the home; his son, Adam Lucas and wife, Michelle of Fort Mill; his stepson, Tim Weatherford of Kannapolis, N.C.; and two granddaughters, Sydney and Natalie.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel and at other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6000 Fairview Rd., Ste. 200, Charlotte, NC 28210.
