Joan E. VanDenAkker
Born: February 21, 1939
Died: April 10, 2022
Joan E. VanDenAkker passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on April 10, 2022 as she was surrounded by her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Helene Glerum.
She leaves behind her husband Joe, of 61 years, son Steve (Emma) VanDenAkker of Navarre, FL, daughter Sherry VanDenAkker of Grand Rapids, MI, daughter Carol (Gary) Brown of Crystal Lake, IL., grandsons Mike VanDenAkker, Zachary Brown, and Jacob Brown as well as two sisters, three brothers, and many nieces and nephews.
A private family graveside service will be held at Fairview cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to Moody Bible Institute or SGMA (Southern Gospel Music Association).
