Julis Dancel Obituary

Julia Dancel ROCK HILL - Mrs. Julia Dancel, 96, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016, at Piedmont Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2016, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill with Chaplain Dena Lucy officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Born in Bogota, Colombia, Mrs. Dancel was a retired nurse who worked in many different hospitals. She lived at Agape at Home, now Carolina Gardens, where she attended church, loved playing bingo and enjoyed listening to the chorus sing. She was the widow of Hilario Dancel. Surviving are her daughter, Irma S. Quinn and her husband, John F. of Rock Hill; her granddaughter, Kim Haskins and her husband, Robert of Newtown, Conn. and their children, Bobby, Julia and Peyton; her grandson, John L. Quinn and his wife, Kathy of Charlotte, N.C. and their children, Bella and Alex. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Dancel's name to Carolina Gardens, 1785 Lexington Commons Drive, Rock Hill, SC 29732. Condolences may be made at www.greenefuneralhome.net.
