January 17, 1943 - October 6, 2024
Rock Hill, South Carolina - Larry Richard Batten Sr, 81, died on Sunday October 6, 2024. Mr. Batten was born in Mt. Gilead, North Carolina to Jesse Branson and Edna Roberts Batten. He grew up in Troy, NC and graduated from Montgomery High School, then spent a career at Westinghouse Corporation. He loved fishing, hunting, grilling, and watching old western movies.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Toni, whom he tirelessly cared for during her last years. He was also preceded by a son, Rich, as well as his parents and a brother.
He is survived by his daughter Jill and her husband Robert, and a son Timothy and his wife Cindy. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Nicolas, Olivia, Atlas, Oliver, Joanne, Sagan and Elise, as well as his first great grandchild, Miki. WE LOVE YOU PAPA.
