Louis Page Obituary
Lou Page ROCK HILL - Mr. Louis Albert Page, 91, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Willowbrook at Park Pointe Village. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 27, 2015, at Park Pointe Community Room, with Chaplain Randy Wright officiating. Burial will be private. Born in Riverside, N.J., Mr. Page was the son of the late Louis Albert Page and the late Rosalie Mason. He graduated from Northeast High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Army Ranger Training Program. He later opted to join the U.S. Air Force in hopes of fulfilling his dream to fly. Unable to fulfill this dream due to an over abundance of pilots, he was appointed to take charge of the Oak Club in Trinidad for three years where wounded soldiers came for rest and relaxation. He then attended Rutgers University and graduated from the Charles Morris Price School of Journalism. His work in public relations took him into many industries including Aerospace where he was involved with the launching of the first satellite, the Department of Commerce where he was a speech writer, and GSA where he established a television studio for the purpose of training manuals. He retired from GSA. He enjoyed writing, motorcycles, dogs, birds, nature and fishing. He was a bee keeper, enjoyed the movie industry, was extremely patriotic and had an intellectual wit. Surviving are his wife of 17 years, Elaine Craig Page; his son, Peter D. Page (Dalia) of Wickenburg, Ariz., and Stuart A. Page (Krista) of Frederick, Md.; his step-daughter, Cecily E. Craig of Jenkintown, Pa.; his sister, Virginia Spiers (Edward) of Marlton, N.J.; and four grandchildren, Matthew, Zachery, Kassidy and Angelique. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jean Moore Page and his son, Jeffrey A. Page.
