Margaret Bielicki
June 16, 1950 - February 12, 2023
Lake Wylie, South Carolina - I fought long and I fought hard but my battle with cancer ended on Sunday, February 12, 2023, surrounded by my husband and children.
I was born in Utica, NY on June 16, 1950, to Therese and Francis Durr. I grew up in Whitesboro, NY and attended Whitesboro High School. I went on to further my education and graduated with a Nursing degree from Mooresville College.
I met my loving husband at Mohawk Valley Community College while attending night classes. I knew I was going to marry Edward Allan Bielicki the night I met him. We were married for 50 years this past November. We made many great memories together as we both enjoyed to travel.
Throughout my professional career I was a Nurse at St. Lukes, Crouse Memorial and INOVA Fair Oaks Hospitals. I tended to many patients and always had a care for others. I made many close friends throughout my nursing career many of those that I will not forget.
My husband and I lived in NY until 1972 where we relocated to Centreville, VA due to advancement in our careers. This is where we built our first house and resided there until 2007. At that time we relocated to our last home and retired in Lake Wylie, SC.
A few words to describe me per my friends and family: Heart of gold (always doing for others), Loving (one of my favorite sayings is: " Love you more"), Witty (loved to laugh and make others laugh) and driven (never stopped until my body made me stop).
I was blessed to have two loving children Troy Allan Bielicki and Ashley Brooke Jeffcoat. Troy was born in 1977 and Ashley was born in 1982. I am very proud of both of my children as I will miss them dearly. I was also blessed to have a grandchild Carlee Bielicki born in 2015, who will also always hold a special place in my heart. I love my daughter in-law and son in-law Paula and Chris. My family was always important to me but I have told them I will watch over them and I will see them again one day, that includes you Sue. Sue is a sister that lived close by me and we had many adventures together up until the day I passed. I will cherish those memories forever.
Margaret is predeceased by her parents Therese & Francis Durr, Brothers Brian, Greg and Robert. Remaining living siblings are Sue, Claire, Rose and Eileen.
I am now at peace and will suffer no longer as I am in the arms of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. My wish is for everyone to be happy and to cherish the wonderful memories we enjoyed together. Laugh more, hug more and never give up on your dreams.
We would like to thank the Oncology team at Levine's Cancer Institute and Hospice for taking great care of my mother, Margaret Bielicki. Margaret's final wishes were to be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be scheduled later this year in honor and remembrance of her life that was well lived.
