We are so grateful for the hours our boys got to spend with Mike. We have watched from the stands, a man who had a heart for young people, encouraging them to better themselves, to pick up the pace and do the best they could. We also watched from the stands a wife that supported her husband and the children that was so precious always there playing and taking it all in............we seen his dad and mom following their son's desires to be in education/sports..stepping up for kids in his wrestling group, his PE class and just being a man those young men around school needed at that time, he must have learnt that from you because you were always there for him, all of you. You were all so supportive for him, I know he loved you all very much.
You are all in our prayers...Howard and Terry Creed (Dillon & Logan's

It was with great sadness that we learned of Mike's passing. As Chaplain for the South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association, please know that you and your family are in the thoughts and prayers of his many friends and peers. As I read the various news reports of Mike's death, it is apparent that he valued the things that are important in life: family, friends and giving back to others. He leaves a legacy that lives on in the hearts and minds of those he served. May God give you His comfort and peace in the coming days.
