Opal Lowery Obituary
Graveside service for Mrs. Lowery will be 2:30 PM, Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Grandview Memorial Park - Cherry Road with Pastor Sam Stevens. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Born in Rock Hill, SC, Mrs. Lowery was the daughter of the late Birch F. Reynolds and the late Wilmoth Dye Reynolds. She was a member of NewKirk Baptist Church and retired from J. P. Stevens with over forty years of service. Mrs. Lowery loved ceramics and singing with her husband. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lowery was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas "Buddy" Lowery, Sr.; her son James Thomas "Jim" Lowery, Jr; her grandson; her great-great-granddaughter, and her six brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Lowery is survived by her sons, Joseph Wayne "Joe" Lowery and wife, Lea of Rock Hill and William L. "Lanny" Lowery and wife, Denise of Spartanburg, SC; her daughter, Rosemary Sullivan and husband, Tim of Rock Hill; her daughter-in-law, Betty Lowery of Surfside Beach, SC; her brother, B. F. Reynolds of Rock Hill; her sister, Willie Francis Couch of Florida; and her eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
