Ruth Denault Obituary

Ruth Adela Denault ROCK HILL - Ruth Adela Denault, 73, of Rock Hill, S.C., died Sunday, Oct 27, 2013, of sudden health complications. She was born on March 2, 1940, in Stoughton, Mass., when her parents were visiting family but they lived and raised her in Hudson, N.H. Her late parents were Andrea Jane (Birch) and Henry G. Snow. She is survived by two children, Jeffrey Denault and Melissa Bruton and husband, John of Rock Hill; three grandsons, Chandler, Colby and Aiden; four siblings, Robert Birch of Pennsylvania, Joyce Massetti of Florida, Alice Hulsey of Mississippi and Donn Snow of North Carolina. Her late brother, Earl Snow died Oct. 2, 2013. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31, at Woodhaven Baptist Church, 2060 Marett Blvd., Rock Hill, S.C., with Pastor Tom Patterson officiating. She will rest in her original home state of New Hampshire. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, at Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock Street, Nashua, N.H. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery on Burnham Road in Hudson, N.H., where she will be by her parents and other family. Ruth was raised in Hudson, N.H., and before she was a teenager, the family moved to Lowell, Mass. She continued to live in Lowell after being married until she moved to California in 1966 where she lived for 40 years. Her children were born in California. They primarily lived in San Bernardino. She earned two college degrees later in life: Associates in Education from San Bernardino Community College in 1998 and Bachelor of Arts in Education in 2001 at the age of 61. She retired as a teacher's aide after 31 years. She worked at Warm Springs School for 25 years in San Bernardino and then at Monterey Elementary for six years until 2006 when she then moved to Rock Hill, S.C. Ruth was loved by many and enjoyed her church group, crafts, country music and trips with family and friends. She taught us all how to have a fun spirit and kindness. She also loved being a part of shows that were held where she lived in Rock Hill at Chandler Place (Emeritus) since 2010. In lieu of flowers, you may donate in her memory to Hospice & Community Care, 2275 India Hook Rd., Rock Hill, SC 29732.

This is what the butterfly looked like after going outside when she just passed on. Amazing! And her favorite color is blue too.

My precious Miss Butterfly. I am in sorrow over losing you but, I know you are in Gods loving care. I will find my days difficult for a time to come but, will gain strength. It helps me just to watch videos and look at photos of you and have all those memories of our time together. I am doing everything you wanted and will always be honorable to you. After you passed I saw a beautiful butterfly just outside the building, it was blue with black. Was that you my dear? I think so. You fluttered around a good few minutes to let us know that it was you. You are such a sweet person and God must have you as his highest level Angel. LOVE FOREVER, Doris
