Thomas A. Ray LAKE WYLIE, S.C. - Thomas Alfred Ray "Pa", 91, of 4877 Charlotte Highway, died Sunday, January 4, 2015, at Caro Mont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, N.C. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2015, at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Clover, S.C. with Steve Myers officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Mr. Ray was born May 2, 1923, to the late George and Eva Morgan Baker Ray. He was the widower of Alice M. Ray. Mr. Ray was a World War II Combat Marine and an avid Hamm Radio operator. Survivors are his son, Thomas A. Ray of Fla.; daughters, Kathy Ray of Ill. and Sandra Porter of Va. and a large extended family. A special thanks to the Clover Senior Center, Lake Wylie Assisted Living staff and the nurses and doctors of Caro Mont Regional Medical Center. M. L. I knew Tom from the Clover Senior Center.
He was a fine gentleman with a good sense of humor.I am sorry for your loss.
