Bobby and I had the pleasure of meeting Bill when he came into our restaurant. He would share stories about his love of children and when he met our son Brady, he was extremely touched by Brady, as Brady responded to him. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers and we know Bill is in Heaven with Brady in peace with no pain.

My condolences to the Markolf family.
Bill was truly an honorable and professional businessman whom the State
of New Jersey had the pleasure of doing business with for many years. He was always one of our best vendors.

Brittany,

I miss you and if I were there I'd put my arms around you and tell you this is God's plan. Children bury their parents and not parents burying their children.

What memories! The stories, the jokes, the laughter, and the dissertations... The twinkle in his eyes and that sneaky grin upon his face... The bounce in his step and the love in his heart... His family and close friends were so obviously his world... and he will surely be missed!

I know how much you loved your Dad (Granddad) and that you will miss him. I am so glad that you were able to have these last few months to share. Know that you are all in my heart and prayers and he is watching over you now, like you watched over him. May you find the peace that I know he has found.

We will miss Bill as a friend and business associate. Our deepest sympathy to the Markolf family. It will be a dull future without being able to hassle and joke with him.

Dear Markolf family. What a guy. So full of energy and never slowed down and would give you the shirt off his back. Enjoyed golfing with him and it was never dull. The hospitality you guys afforded was spectacular and always a memorable time. Hard to understand why this happens to someone so loved and so vibrant. He is in a very good place now and he will be in everyone's memories forever. God Bless all of you in this time of sorror. (HO & Patti Owens)

Death, be not proud

Death, be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so;
For those whom thou think'st thou dost overthrow
Die not, poor Death, nor yet canst thou kill me.
From rest and sleep, which but thy pictures be,
Much pleasure; then from thee much more must flow,
And soonest our best men with thee do go,
Rest of their bones, and soul's delivery.
Thou art slave to fate, chance, kings, and desperate men,
And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell,
And poppy or charms can make us sleep as well
And better than thy stroke; why swell'st thou then?
One short sleep past, we wake eternally
And death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die.

My sympathy. Bill and I went to grade school together at Catholic Country Day. Bill was a great athlete even in grade school. I have many good memories of the times and trouble we got into. May he rest in peace and may the Perpetual Light shine upon him.
