York, South Carolina - Mrs. Wilma Lucille Wood Mitchell, 96, of York, SC, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022 at home.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 28, 2022 at Filbert Presbyterian Church, 2066 Filbert Highway, York, SC with Pastor Wallace Tinsley and Pastor Dave Hall officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service. Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens, York, SC.
Mrs. Mitchell was born October 15, 1925 in Clover, SC to the late Samuel Green and Maggie Brackett Wood. She was the widow of John Otis Mitchell, Sr. and she was also preceded in death by a son, John O. Mitchell, Jr.
Survivors are her son Thomas H. Mitchell, Quarryville, PA; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Filbert Presbyterian Church, 2066 Filbert Highway, York, SC 29745.
