Cyril "Moe" Edward Miles Jr., 68, of Berrien Springs, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Spectrum Health Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph.
A celebration of life dinner will begin at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 7, at American Legion Post 85, 112 N. Bluff St., Berrien Springs, where he had been a member for 20 years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the family.
Allred Funeral Home, www.allredfuneralhome.com, is handling cremation arrangements.
In accordance with his wishes, no funeral services or visitation will be held.
Cyril attended Road To Life Church, 3800 Niles Road, St. Joseph, for 24 years, where he has many friends. He loved to bring the children and grandchildren along. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, cooking and baking, which he shared with family and friends.
Cyril was born Nov. 23, 1953, in St. Joseph to Cyril "Moe" Edward and Mildred Jeanette (Craft) Miles Sr.
He attended St. Joseph High School. He had been a professional cook for 20 years at The Wagon Wheel Restaurant and Bonnie's Breakfast Nook, both of Benton Harbor.
Following his cooking career, he was employed at MAC Engineering and Equipment Co., Yore Ave., Benton Harbor, where he held several positions, including saw operator, welder, assembler and CNC o0perator.
Cyril is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Donna (Hartley) Miles; his daughter, Shelly Humphrey of Buchanan; grandchildren: Keisha, Michael and Treyvon Humphrey; son, Benjamin (Stephanie) Turney of Berrien Springs; grandson, Adam Turney; daughter, Donna Miles of Bridgman; grandchildren: Hailey and Matthew Vowell; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cyril was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters: Nanette Keifer and Milli Miles.
