Dwight Antonio Murray, 69, of Benton Harbor peacefully passed away Sept. 26, 2025. A celebration of life service will be Friday, Oct. 17, at the Greater Faith Apostolic Church, Benton Harbor. Dwight was born on Oct. 8, 1955, to the late Ozzie and Minnie Lee Murray (Anderson) and in Joiner, Ark. He first met the love of his life, Pattie Adams while attending Benton Harbor High School and on Dec. 12, 1981, they were joined in holy matrimony.
Dwight will always be remembered for the great love that he had for God and the passion that he had for God's word. The immense wisdom he so freely shared and his unwavering dedication as a loving and faithful husband and father will always be in our hearts. He truly was a man of God always leading by example with quiet strength and invincible faith. We will miss him so dearly, his beautiful smile, his gentle hugs and his joyful laughter. Our family will never be the same!
Dwight leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 43 years, Pattie Murray; daughter, Ambria Murray; son, Jamel Adams; granddaughter, Maelle; granddaughters: Ja'Nyla Adams and Ni'Jhaiya Campbell and great-grandchildren: Karter, Dream and Tru; siblings: Irene Crenshaw, JoSarah Vaughn, Sarah Murray-Williams, Jesse Dean Murray, Dessa Hardin and Valerie (Darris) Carouthers along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Dwight was preceded in death by his parents: Ozzie and Minnie Murray; brother, Joseph Murray.
