Edna M. Frigo

1925 - 2021

Edna M. Frigo, nee Santi, 96, a longtime Coloma resident, beloved wife of the late Reno Frigo, died Aug. 24, 2021, at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.

She was born Aug. 12, 1925, and raised in the Pullman area.

Edna was president of Roseland Little League Auxiliary in 1967 when Roseland went to the Little League World Series. She was a bookkeeper for her father's, and eventually husband's business, Santi Distributing. Edna then worked 10 years at Harris Bank in downtown Chicago. Edna devoted many volunteer hours in the Coloma area at her church, the local hospital and senior center.

Loving mother of Dr. Mark (Victoria), Ronald (Lori), Gary (Sandy), Jo-Marie, and the late Michael; fond Nonna of Michael (Katie), Amy, Anthony, Dominic (Rachel), and David Frigo, Cara (Dino) Mirkopoulos, Danielle (Dan) Kreczmer, Gianina (David) Gabriel, and Sean, Daniel, Matthew (Poloma) Fleming. Proud Bisnonna of Reagan and Marco Frigo, John Mark Mirkopoulos and Grayson Frigo.

Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St., (U.S. Rt. 30, three blocks East of Western Avenue) Chicago Heights, on Monday, Aug. 30, from 9:30 a.m. until time of prayers 10:45 a.m. to Infant Jesus of Prague Church, Flossmoor. Mass will begin at 11:30 a.m. Private entombment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
