Edna Volkers, 98, of St. Joseph passed away on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024.
A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph with Pastor Michael Roth officiating. Friends may visit from 3:30-6:30 p.m., on Monday, Feb. 5, at the funeral home as well as from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday.
Memorial donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or at secure.nationalmssociety.org.

Edna was born on Jan. 24, 1926, in St. Joseph, to Otto and Hulda (Hettig) Ross.
On Jan 11, 1947, she married Fred Volkers in St. Joseph.
Edna was the owner of her own dog grooming business for many years. She was the area president of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, as well as president of the area TOPS. Edna enjoyed Bavarian folk dancing with her husband and daughter. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family including her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings and her many nieces and nephews.
Edna is survived by her daughters: Sharee Blazier (David Purcell), Denise Bowman (Mark Parren) and Teresa Kruse (Dave Maciejewski); seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Gary and six siblings.
