Eva Owens Obituary
Eva Marie Owens (née Sandor), age 65, of St. Joseph, Mich., passed away peacefully. She was born in Chicago, Ill., the beloved daughter of the late Bela Sandor and surviving Eva Sandor.
She was the devoted mother of Dylan (Lauren) Chambers; cherished sister of Anna Sandor, Gizella (Russell) Niedzielski, and the late Martha Sandor; and loving aunt of Robert (Kaylee) McCormick and Brandace Justice. She will also be remembered with affection by her best friend Carl Owens and her faithful dog, Zeus.
Eva will be remembered as a gentle and kind soul who loved animals and carried a youthful spirit throughout her life. She was dedicated to her Western Michigan A.A. chapter, where she formed many lasting friendships. She enjoyed traveling the country by train and baked exceptional pies, which she generously shared with family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, at The Chapel Church, 4250 Washington, St. Joseph.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sarett Nature Center in Benton Harbor, Mich.
Eva's memory will be forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.
