Harry was born on March 11, 1943, to Thaddeus and Frieda (Wollner) Miller in Lodz, Poland. At the age of 6, he and his family immigrated to Michigan. He graduated from St. Joseph High School. He then proudly served his country in the U.S. Army before being honorably discharged. Harry worked for Whirlpool Corp. as a dryer engineer for more than 35 years before retirement.

Harry was also very active at the Village Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he was an elder and volunteered in multiple capacities. Harry and Sharon participated in dozens of international mission trips through Maranatha International and the Village SDA Church. Harry enjoyed going camping and fishing, cheering on the Chicago Cubs, and he especially enjoyed spending time with family and grandchildren.

I had the honor of working with Harry for several years. He was a very caring and generous man. I remember when he walked 24 hrs straight in Relay for Life. He couldn´t put shoes on for quite a while after the walk. Had to wear sandals to work. But that was Harry.

I have seen Harry at every wam I have done (except last year) the last 12 years. I will miss seeing him on the tour. He was always smiling and his smile just made you feel good. My heart goes out to his family and friends and fellow riders.

I had the pleasure of riding with Harry as a member of David's Heroes. It was inspiring to see him at the WAM 300 every year. I once mentioned to him that my wife has a heart condition. He replied, "I have a heart condition too. It breaks for sick children." The world has lost a truly good person.
