Karla J. Giannola, 64, of Benton Harbor passed away on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022, at Spectrum Health Lakeland Medical Center, St. Joseph.
A celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, with Father James Morris officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7, at the funeral home.

Karla was born on March 2, 1958, to Karl and Dorothy (Kraklau) Grinewitzki.
She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1976.
On March 29, 1981, Karla married the love of her life, Joseph Giannola, in Las Vegas.
Karla's passion was traveling. She began working for a travel agent right out of high school and six years later she and Joe bought it from the owners. She loved spending time tending to her beautiful flower garden, boating up and down the St. Joseph River with family and friends, and traveling up north to Beaver Island, Mich. Karla was an incredible lady who will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Karla is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Joe; children: Lindsay Giannola, Michelle Giannola, Tracey (Chris) Giannola-Smith, and Matthew Giannola; and sister, Joyce Vogt.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Karl and Dorothy; sister, Sandy (John) Russell; and brother-in-law, Steve Vogt.
