Mitch A. Potter, 31, of Gobles unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2024.
A celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road., St. Joseph. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Aug. 30, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Mitch was born on July 28, 1993, to Randy Potter and Cheryl King. He graduated from Edison High School and was currently enrolled in emergency medical technician training. Mitch was a volunteer firefighter for Lake Station, Ind., Fire Department for several years and was currently working as a security officer at Sandy Pines Resort. Mitch was driven by a deep calling to provide care and assistance to others in moments of need. Mitch's greatest pride and joy were his three beautiful children. Mitch's life, though far too brief, was a life well-lived. He embodied the virtues of compassion, bravery and joy. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire and guide us. His memory will forever be a blessing, reminding us all to cherish each moment, love deeply, and always find a reason to smile.
Mitch is survived by his children: Aurora, Braylon and Ember; parents: Randy Potter and Cheryl King; siblings: Carl Krieger, Jacqueline Krieger and Natasha Williams; nieces and nephews: Lauren Powyszynski, Elijah Chastain, Jaden Williams, Makaiyla Williams, Kadience Williams, Kierra Williams and Zaire Williams; great nephew, Jackson Powyszynski; significant other, Paetyn Carpenter; and Paetyn's children: Raegyn, Nixyn and Lindyn.
Mitch was preceded in death by his brothers: Jacob Potter and Lucas Potter, and nephew, Paul Williams III.
