Ola Mae Stevens-McMillion, 80, of Benton Harbor went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 13, 2025. A celebration of life service will be Saturday, Nov. 1, at Greater Grace, Benton Harbor. Ola was born on July 11, 1945, in Brinkley, Ark., to Lawyer Sr., and Iola Humbert-Stevens. She accepted Christ into her life and was active as a church mother and served in the kitchen ministry. She remained a faithful member of Greater Grace Temple for over 30 years. Ola was devoted to this ministry until her health precluded her from attending.
Her amazing smile, fashion sense, great cooking and love for family and Christ embodies who she was. Ola will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and friends.
Ola is survived by her children: Thomas McMillion Jr., Camelia McMillion, Ricky McMillion and Barbara McMillion; sister, Mamie Smith; brothers: Johnny Stevens and Thomas Charles (Mary) Stevens Sr.; godson, Ronald Hurst; 16 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Ola was preceded in death by her daughters: Linda McMillion-Brown and April McMillion; granddaughter, Shericka Perkins; great-granddaughter, Sharicka Beautiful Jones; brothers: Lawyer Stevens Jr., Ocie Stevens and Melvin Stevens; sister, Legertha Stevens-Pulliam; parents: Lawyer Stevens Sr. and Iola Humbert-Stevens; and best friend, Maxine Taylor.
