Roger Nyland Obituary
Roger L. Nyland, 87, of Holland, Mich., went to his heavenly home on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at an area care center.
He was a member of Trinity Reformed Church of Holland and was a former member of St. Joseph CRC.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Whirlpool Corp., as a senior electronic designer.
Rog was preceded in death by his parents: Richard and Jeanette Nyland; son-in-law, Randy Harris; siblings: Doris Van Tubbergen, Audrey Whipple and Earl Nyland.
Rog is survived by his wife of 61 years, Eleanor (Van Doornik); children: Karen (Jack) Pallas, Kathy (Mike) Hollacher, and Jeffrey Nyland; four grandchildren: Jordan (Annie) Homsy-Harris, Kayla (Josh) Allen, Michael (Chelsie) Hollacher, Katelin (Remi) Salva; four great-grandchildren; in-laws: Dorothy Nyland, Ardith Tschanz; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at noon on Thursday, March 23, at Trinity Reformed Church, 712 Apple Ave., Holland with the Rev. Deb Yurk officiating. To view livestream, please visit www.facebook.com/trinitychurchholland. Burial will be in Graafschap Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
