Ruth Patzkowsky Obituary
Ruth E. Patzkowsky, 99, of St. Joseph, passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 22, 2023, at The Willows in St. Joseph. She was born July 15, 1924, in St. Joseph, Mich., to Albert and Emile (Metz) Patzkowsky.
A celebration of Ruth's life will be held at 9:30 a.m., Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, with Pastor Michael Roth officiating, proceeding to Lincoln Township Cemetery in Stevensville for committal. Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, 619 Main St., St. Joseph, Michigan, 49085.
Ruth lived a very active lifestyle, which kept her young at heart throughout her 99 years of life. Ruth worked for Whirlpool in employee relations for more than 45 years before her retirement. She was committed to her bowling league, being an active participant for more than 75 years and was an avid golfer. She also loved to travel, which took her to more than 100 countries during her lifetime. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Ruth is survived by her nieces and nephews, Ken Patzkowsky, Joyce (Kurt) Tillmann, and Don (the late Judy) Barker; and other extended family members. She is preceded in death by her brother and sister; and her parents.
