Ruth M. Watts, 92, of St. Joseph died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022, at Woodland Terrace Assisted Living, Bridgman.
Services celebrating her life will be at a later date with burial in the columbarium in Riverview Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.
Memorials may be made to the Blue Roof Church.
Ruth was born on Feb. 1, 1930, in Cuxhaven, Germany. She fled Germany during World War II, met her husband, John, in Shanghai, China, and they married in Benton Harbor on Sept. 17, 1949. He preceded her in death in 2008.
Ruth is survived by her sons: John (Tonya) Watts of Florida, Ray Watts of Benton Harbor, and Tim Watts of St. Joseph; her daughters: Diana Watts of St. Joseph and Carol (Richard) Borah of Benton Harbor; her brother, Gary Sternberg of Henderson, Nev.; her four grandchildren and her two great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Roy Watts, in 2000.
