Samuel Charles "Charlie" Halliburton, 54, of Watervliet passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the Juniper AFC Home in Watervliet. Arrangements have been entrusted with Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph.
Born April 5, 1971, in St. Joseph, Charlie was adopted as an infant by Samuel and Sharon (Lambert) Halliburton, who loved him unconditionally.
Charlie attended Blossomland Learning Center where he and his family were advocates for individuals with autism and played a key role in developing extended autistic programming in his community. Charlie was also a participant in Special Olympics and enjoyed swimming and horseback riding. Charlie's great love was cookies.
He is survived by his mother, Sharon Halliburton of St. Joseph; sister, Carrie Halliburton of Ann Arbor; aunt, Kathryn Lambert of St. Joseph; and his extended family at Spectrum Community Services.
He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Clay Halliburton; grandparents: Charles Perry and Vera Mae Lambert and Samuel Woodrow and Mary Nova Halliburton; and aunt, Diana June Lambert.
A memorial gathering will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, June 14, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel in St. Joseph, with a memorial service and time of sharing at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Therapeutic Equestrian Center, 1207 E. Galien-Buchanan Road, Buchanan, MI, or to Camp Leo at www.campleoswmi.com or 711 St. Joseph Ave., Berrien Springs, MI 49103.

Sharon, I just got the news--takes a while for get to us here in Florida. So sorry for your loss. Your selfless love for him was awe inspiring. I hope our paths will cross this summer when we come back to SJ.
