Frances Mull Peacock

November 16, 1932 - February 6, 2026

Southern Pines, North Carolina - Frances Mull Peacock, 93, passed away on February 6, 2026, at Penick Village in Southern Pines, where she has received excellent care for the last 6 years.

She was born in High point, NC, November 16, 1932, to the late Obie Mull and Theodosia Hurley Mull. She was a graduate and avid fan of Duke University. She was a long-time resident of Raleigh, NC, where she was a teacher and librarian at Poe Elementary School and a Sales Associate at Ronsons. She was an active member of St. Marks United Methodist Church and Bible Study Fellowship and Bible Applications Class.

She is survived by her children, John R. Peacock, III (Jay) and wife Teresa, Jayne Peacock Lee and husband Chip; grandchildren, Valerie Lee Thorne and husband Jeremy, Aaron Lee, John R. Peacock, IV (Jack) and Andrew Peacock; and two great-grandchildren, Logan Ciokan and Baylee Ryan.

A private graveside service will be held at Guilford Memorial Park in Greensboro, NC.

Donations can be made to St. Marks United Church, the Penick Village Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association.

I remember Frances fondly from St. Marks though I haven't seen her in many years! She was a very nice person! I also went to college with her daughter Jane.

And mentor when i joined St.Marks United Methodist
Church in 1992. Many times she
Opened her home to various
Bible studies and Circle chapters.She was a lovely person and shared the love of God with all! Rest in God dear
