Robert "Bob" Peacock, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, in Panama City, Florida. Born on March 29, 1936, in Altha, Florida, Bob led a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life, including camping and fishing.
Bob served his country honorably as an Airman 1st Class in the United States Air Force, a testament to his commitment and discipline. Following his military service, he pursued a career that reflected his strong work ethic. He was a crane operator at a paper mill and contributed his skills to Beams Auto Parts in Maryland as well as Able Auto Parts in Mt. Airy, Maryland that he operated. About seven years ago, Bob made a significant move to Panama City, Florida, where he continued to enjoy life surrounded by loved ones.
Known for cherishing time spent with his family, Bob’s warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew him. His personality was characterized by a genuine love for those around him and a passion for outdoor activities that brought him great happiness.
Bob was also a proud and dedicated member of several organizations, including the Masonic Lodge, where he lived by the principles of brotherhood and service. In addition, he was a valued member of the VFW, American Legion, and AMVETS, reflecting his deep respect for fellow veterans and his continued commitment to supporting those who served.
Bob is survived by his daughters Vicki Churchey and her husband Robert, Connie Cooke (Doug), and Susie Gibson and her husband Phil. He also leaves behind his brother David, his sisters Martha and Marylou, and cousins Stoney and Robert. Friends who held a special place in his heart include Gwen Foll. Generations of family were blessed to know Bob, including his grandchildren Mandy, Brian (Valerie), Ronnie and wife Crystal, Jamie, Jessica, Nikki, Jonathan (Alishia), Carlton, and Elizabeth, as well as numerous great-grandchildren: Kyle, Kendal, Josh, Nevaeh, Tyrah, Corey, Aaliyah, Brandon, Devon, Preston, Lyncoln, Harlow, Caiden, Savannah, Adam, Jordan, Colton, Nathan, Ethan, Parker and Cam.
Bob is preceded in death by his beloved wife Linda Lee Peacock, his daughter Kathy Wike, and his parents James and Vergie Peacock. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
A time of visitation to honor and remember Bob will be held on March 23, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown. Friends and family are invited to gather there to pay their respects and celebrate a remarkable life.
