November 13, 1929 - August 6, 2025
Cary, North Carolina - Robert "Bob" Lowry passed away at home on August 6, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born November 13, 1929 in Elizabeth City, NC. Bob was a proud alumnus of Wake Forest University and a devoted member of Cary Presbyterian Church. He also was a member of Masonic Lodge #198 in Cary.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou Lowry, his daughter Debbie Johnson, brother-in-law Leo McKenzie. He is survived by his daughters Sandy Pittman and Carolyn Lowry; grandchildren Bryan Pittman and Lauren Pittman; and sister-in-law Rachel McKenzie.
A Funeral Service of Resurrection will be on August 12, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Cary Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall beginning at 10:00 a.m. prior. Heartfelt thanks to Duke HomeCare & Hospice and the many caregivers whose compassion was a blessing during his final months. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to:
