God saw you were getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So he put his arms around you
And whispered “Come to Me”
With tearful eyes we watched you
And saw you pass away
Although we loved you dearly
We could not make you stay
A golden heart stopped beating
Hard working hands at rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best

Popa, I hope you know how much you meant to me - I loved you so much and continue to love you unconditionally. You were more then a grandfather to me, but rather my idol, my hero. When you were sick you always said: "I used to be the strongest man in the world, what happened?" - you felt weak - however, I believe you were wrong. Strength does not come from your physical capacity, it comes from your indomitable will power and faith. For anyone who knew you - they knew your faith was unshaken, but your strength to live, faith in God and bond with your family kept you moving forward. It was not until we fought your disease together that I realized that the strongest people are not those who show physical strength, but those who fight battles we know nothing about. Before I left hospice, I told you this is not goodbye - it was the hardest thing I ever had to do - but, I feel grateful to have had someone in my life who made saying good bye so hard. I find comfort knowing that heaven is not to far away, you definitely earned your wings and have touched many people in your life. God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers; and in my eyes you came out victorious. I will always remember who "loved me" and as I look to the sky to admire the shades of purple and blues, I will know it was done by the strongest man in the world.
