Anthony Zara Obituary

Zara, Anthony John
Apr. 1, 1924 - Jun. 22, 2015
Anthony 'Tony' John Zara, of Sarasota, Florida, passed away on June 22, 2015 in Los Angeles, California, with his beloved daughters by his side.
Mr. Zara was born in New Jersey and was a proud veteran, serving in WWII as a CWO. He worked at Tropicana Orange Juice and volunteered at the Sarasota Opera, Asolo Theater, Mote Marine and the Italian Cultural Society. He enjoyed dancing and singing opera, but his true passion was cooking - spaghetti, meatballs, apple pies and pancakes.
His greatest joy was his family - wife Edith (deceased), daughters Lynn Wexler and Deborah Zara Kobylt, and six grandchildren Joshua, Justin, Jordan, Ariel, Shoshana and James. He is survived by his daughters and six grandchildren, two sisters and one brother.
Mr. Zara will be buried at the Sarasota National Cemetery and services will be at St. Martha's Church at a date to be determined.

Tony had a great sense of humor. He adored his daughters and was very proud of them. He talked about them many times at Tropicana. He loved Ethel and their volunteering at the theater. RIP Tony. You are remembered by a lot of people.
