To the Duncan Family,
I did not know of Basil's passing until this evening when Matt Peterson informed me of it. Not only was Basil our family attorney but he was also a friend for many years. Know that others care and share your sorrow. May Basil rest in peace and may God Bless all of you.

I had the great pleasure of having my office above Basil's for several years. I will remember him fondly as a colleague, mentor and friend. He was always most generous with his time and advice and I spent many a late afternoon beguiled by his seemingly endless supply of stories. His brilliant legal mind was surpassed only by his exemplary character and wonderful sense of humor. He will be sorely missed by the Shoreline legal community and by everyone whose lives he touched. My heartfelt condolences to Linda and the family.
