Survivors: A daughter, Wendi Ingalls of Greenville, S.C.; five grandsons; six grea-grandchildren
Eulogy:
Mr. Eckert was born in Albert Lee, Minn., and was the widower of Henrietta Alice Eckert.
He was retired from the U.S. government as a Logistician for the NASA program. He was also retired as a Captain from the U.S. Army where he had participated in and received a Purple Heart during the Invasion of Normandy.
He was a life member and past Commander of El Jobean, Fla., VFW Post, life member of the AD & AM Lodge in Eau Gallie, Fla., life member of the American Legion, and was of the Presbyterian Faith.
Memorials may be made to the VFW Post 10476, 3725 Cape Haze Dr., Rotonda West, FL 33947
