Dr. Charles Lazin

Dr. Charles Lazin, 83, Sarasota, died March 10, 2003. He was born Aug. 6, 1919, in Lebanon, Pa., and came to Sarasota three years ago from there. He retired as a dentist after 50 years. He graduated from Penn State with a bachelor's degree in science, and received a DDS degree from Temple Dental School in 1950. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II serving as a major. He was a member of Beth Israel Congregation and a member of B'nai Brith. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Hannah; daughters Sarah of New York City and Lauren of Green, N.Y.; sons Dr. Michael of Gainesville, Dr. Andrew of Sarasota and Steven of Philadelphia; and five grandchildren. No visitation is scheduled. Services and burial will be in Lebanon. Palms Funeral Home, Sarasota, is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
