Daniel McCarley Obituary

McCarley, Daniel E.
Dec 1, 1951 - Jan 4, 2021
Daniel E. McCarley, 69 years of age, of Sarasota, FL, went to be with the Lord on January 4, 2021. Dan was a loving husband and father; he leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Patti McCarley and his three children Jennifer Black (Rick Black) of West Point, NY, Sibyl McCarley (Brian Frailing) of Milwaukee, WI, and Christopher McCarley of Sarasota, FL. His four grandchildren were the light of Dan's world and he will be sorely missed by Derek and Charlotte Black and Georgia and Harrison Frailing. Dan is also survived by his brother, Dean McCarley (Linda McCarley), sister, Dinah Warner, and nieces, Dharma, Jamie, Sarah, and Sandy, and nephews, Bryon, Patrick, and Lindsey.
Before retiring, Dan operated McCarley Oil and Save-On Oil Company for over 40 years. He was a member of the Rotary Club and Touchpoint Community Church. "Coach Dan" was also involved with Little League of Sarasota for many years.
In light of COVID-19, private services will be held by his family. Without a public service, we lose the opportunity to share the great stories we all have of Dan. If you have a memory you would like to share with the family, please send them to [email protected]. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association.

Dearest Cousin Danny, I will forever cherish all of our family time. I can still see you and Dean, along with my brothers Steve and Glenn, sitting on the floor of your Sarasota house, spinning Beach Boys 45s on a tiny record player. In between songs, I would run out to your backyard and eat as many oranges as I could from your orange tree. Thank you for so many wonderful memories. Love you, and love and hugs to your family.
