David Mark Underwood, of Sarasota, FL passed away on Oct. 4, 2016 at the age of 56.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Trish; his loving daughters, Melanie Guarnieri (Dan) and Kristie Geimer (John); siblings, Marilyn, Kathleen, Richard, James and Patricia and cherished grandchildren, Aria and Westley.
A memorial service will be held at 10 am on Mon. Oct. 10, 2016 at Palms Memorial Park, Sarasota, FL.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration.

Trish, although I never was able to meet him in person, over the years I have to say that I was proud to come to know Dave through our mutual hobbies. He was a great friend, and a good man, and I am saddened to hear of his passing. He will be greatly missed.

Trish and family,
I was shocked and saddened to see Dave's obituary announcement on Facebook Wednesday. I honestly thought we had more time, and was trying to plan a trip down to Sarasota later this month. Ever since you messaged me I have been praying for you both, and that God's will be done. It was, just not in the way we hoped.
The thing to remember about Dave is that HE MADE A POSITIVE DIFFERENCE. He was a good friend and advisor, and I know firsthand from my interactions with him and you that he was a devoted dad and spouse. I'm also certain he had a positive impact on his colleagues at work and in the service. We will miss him greatly, but I'm certain I'll meet up with him again in the afterlife. And he'll great me with that wonderful grin and say "Let's go racing!"
