Edward A. Wixler, 84, of Venice died Dec. 17, 2010.
Services will be private for the family. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Lois of Venice; daughters Linda Meehan of Massachusetts and Sandra Sheehan of New Jersey; sons Keith of Dubai and Edward Wixler of New Jersey; and 12 grandchildren.
He was born in Philadelphia. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice Inc., 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238. To send condolences, visit www.farleyfuneralhome.com.
