Frank A. Ancona Sr.

Frank A. Ancona Sr., 70, Sarasota, died July 6, 2003. He was born June 13, 1933, in New York City and came to Sarasota in 1994 from Yorktown Heights, N.Y. He retired as an executive at Pepsi Cola and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; a daughter, Toni Volkens of Yaphank, N.Y.; sons Frank A. Jr. of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Darren Wickers of Virginia Beach, Va.; a sister, Margin Vidou of Carmel, N.Y.; and four grandchildren. No local visitation is scheduled. Services and burial will be in Snellville, Ga. Wiegand Brothers Funeral Home is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.
