Gail Bachmann Obituary

Gail Bachmann, nee Chetlain, age 90, formerly of Sarasota, Fla., Northbrook and Oak Park, Ill., passed away in Atlanta September 24, 2015. Gail was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Lester; mother of David (Marilyn) of Sidney, British Columbia, Richard, of Burlington, Ontario, and Mark (Linda) of Marietta, Georgia; grandmother of Matthew (Haley), Jamie and grandog Charlie; sister of the late Bobbie (late Ebbie) Groen; mother-in-law of the late Jane Irwin; and sister-in-law of the late Shirley (late Harold) Millard; aunt of Mark (Michele) Kellner, Diane Geimer and Don Millard; and dear cousins and friends. Gail was a loving and devoted mom, gram, aunt, cousin and friend, and an accomplished and competitive Life Master Tournament bridge player. She lived to see her children make their families and find their place in the world. She saw her grandchildren grow up and flourish. She had many reasons to be pleased. Graveside services Sunday, September 27th, 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park, 9900 Gross Point Rd., Skokie, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity. Though its been many years since I saw Gail, I have very fond memories from my childhood visiting with the Bachmann family. My thoughts are with you and yours during this time.

I will miss Gail, she and I were friends in Chicago and then in Sarasota. Just learned about her death, Marv and I were out of town at the time of her funeral, but we want the family to know that she will be remembered.
