Marcella Mary "Marcie" Bachmann

Marcella "Marcie" Mary (Pettrow) Bachmann, age 91, of Brookville, Indiana, went to be with the lord, Monday, February 2, 2026, at Indiana University Health West Avon, Indiana.

Born June 5th, 1934, in Jersey City, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Peter & Elizabeth (Schuab) Pettrow.

On June 8,1974 Marcie and Thomas Bachmann were united in marriage and are now united again in heaven with Tom's passing in November of 2020.

Marcie was retired, having worked for the American Heart and Lung Association and Lawerence schools for many years as an administrator.

She was a member of the Bernard Hurst Post #77 of the American Legion in Brookville, and a member of the women's auxiliary for the Brookville VFW and founding member of IDACA.

Marcie was an avid outdoorswoman and fisherwoman, who loved hosting her family, extended family and friends, canoeing, tending to her garden and all woodland creatures that found their way into her presence.

Marcie is survived by five children, Gail Good of Indianapolis, Indiana, Peter Kampf of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jill Miller of Indianapolis, Indiana, Judy Lasiter of Evansville, Indiana and James Kampf of Brookville, Indiana; the proud grandmother of 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; as well as a brother, Albert Pettrow of New Jersey, and sister Elizabeth (Betsy) McCarthy of Florida.

Memorial Services will be held at 1pm on February 21st, 2026, at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care, 641 N. County Road 1050 E. Indianapolis, IN 46324.

Additional Services will be held in Brookville, Indiana at a later date.
