Sylvia Rose Christian

Syliva Rose Christian, born October 14th, 2013, in Avon, IN; passed away unexpectedly at Riley Hospital in Indianapolis, IN, on October 4th, 2025. Sylvia was a 6th Grader at Avon Middle School North. She loved swimming, going to school and playing with her school friends, singing, playing at the park, and playing with her stuffed animals; among many other activities. Her journey on this Earth was tragically short but filled with love. She was a shining light in the lives of all of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Sylvia is survived by her father, Paul Christian II, mother, Jessica McCombs, sister, Ruby Christian, and brother, Isaac Woolley; her grandmothers: Laura Christian and Pam Hendrix, and her grandfathers: Paul Christian and Tom Hendrix. All of Indiana. She is also survived by her uncle, Aaron McCombs of Utah, uncle, Anthony Christian of Chicago, IL, aunt, Jesseca Copp, and uncle, William Copp of Cheyenne, WY. Sylvia's Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care, 641 N. County Road 1050 E. Indianapolis, IN 46234. Visitation from 12-2 pm and the service at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to Down Syndrome Indiana (https://dsindiana.org), in Sylvia's name.
