George W. Constantin, 85, of Venice, formerly of Englewood, Colo. and Convent Station, N.J. died Jan. 2, 2012.
A funeral service, with reception following, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, Venice. Burial will be at Sarasota National Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Dolores; daughters, Suzanne Stone of Moraga, Calif., Lauren Whittle of Wheaton, Ill., Alysia Carney of Cary, N.C. and 5 grandchildren.
George died peacefully, surrounded by family, on Jan. 2, 2012. He was born on Sept. 22, 1926 in Manhattan, N.Y., to Dumitru and Georgette Constantin. He graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ, in 1957 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and attended New York University to pursue an MBA. He joined the Johns-Manville Corporation in 1957 and retired after 25 years of service. He went on to found Roofing Systems Consultants, Inc. George was a U.S. Army Air Corps WWII veteran.

George and i work on a lot of roofing project.He was great to do any type of job he had i love this men. I look at him as a every close friend and i will miss him, My god bliss you
